HI Jeanne,

I am sure that you will be overwhelmed with emails in the next two months. I just wanted to get a head start and say hello. I would like to say that due to the wealth of knowledge I received in your classes I will be attending Cal State Fullerton in the fall to work on my Masters in Social Research. I am very excited. Upon completion of my Masters it is off to law school.

Your classes have really helped me to grow as a person. Being able to conduct open forums in class (sorority and fraternity hazing) has allowed me to have better understanding and see the need for such historic social groups. The art exhibitions gave me the opportunity to express myself creatively in a way never done before. I guess I am saying all of this to say thanks. I appreciate your method of teaching.

Thanks ever so much for taking the time to write,Kara. I noted three things you mention:

  • a "wealth of knowledge"
  • open forums
  • art exhibits
Good analysis. As I design the Fall classes and the web site, I'm trying to make sure that there is extensive choice, that we actually schedule forum dates, like shared readings, and that we continue the Naked Space Exhibits each semester. I hope they will bring as much to other students, and thank you again for the feedback.
