The purpose of this thesis is to identify and distinguish the differences between a child molester and a pedophile. It is imperative at this point that you explain how such a difference matters to law enformcement. I repeat, it is imperative. The researcher explores his experiences working with convicted sex offenders. This study examines a review of the literature and laws pertaining to sex crimes. Furthermore, the study focuses on assessing and classification of sex offenders, Megan's law, recidivism rates, and treatment modalities of those offenders. The conditions of parole for parolees is also reviewed and discussed.
