An email to a friend in Canada on June 9, 2004: cc to Pat and Susan.
All our work is collaborative, Kathleen. We don't set up any pre-existing requirements. And we don't do destructive competitive accountability on a day to day basis. Take a look at what I'm writing. Yeah, right now, I'm writing. Susan and Pat will join in when there is something they're good at and need to do, and meanwhile they'll keep reading and asking questions. It's all a part of the collaborative whole. I have to submit by June 30, so it would help if I could have address and affiliation for you. Most conferences won't ask you to register if someone else is presenting for you, but you'll want to be on the program if you're going to be job-hunting any time in the near future. It was your request about academically accepted methodology that set me onto this particular track. I am amazed at how much I really do know about it.

Ask questions, edit, send comments, tell us about resources you know that we don't. This is what graduate education and documentary work is supposed to be like, says she who has no experience in doing a documentary, yet. I do have the deluxe cam corder ready to go if I can ever find the manual.

Welcome to a collaborative working group.

love and peace, jeanne
