Discussion Questions:

1. What does the painting feel like now? Hot, cold, warm, cool, comforting, pretty, happy, sad?
2. Is the bee in the painting scary? Do you think you'll make him scary?
3. What would make him scary? Color? Line? What would make him just part of a warm summer picture?
4. Can you still find the bee? Can you still find his eyes?
5. With so much less of the artists' color and line, do you feel free to discover your own feelings about the subject, or do you feel more intimidated, want clearer lines and colors?
6. Can artists paint the same subject but give that subject very different feelings? Why might they want to do that?
