Listening to an Imam with the Problems of a Rabbi:I spoke about my experiences with religion in Using Illocutionary Discourse to Compare Religions, in the hope that real stories (narrative) would help us practically use our illocutionary discourse to use good faith listening to others. Then, on Sunday, the New York Times began a series about the experiences of an Imam in Brooklyn. Read, think about how much we humans share, and see if you can put yourself in the place of that Imam.
