  1. Data Entry:

On Sunday, January 6, 2002, Michael Briggs wrote:

    Subject: My e-mail address

Happy New Year!!! I hope all is well with you and that you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I spoke to Wesley Hall and he said that you need my e-mail address, so here it is. I'm looking forward to attending your Moot court class in the spring. Again, Happy New Year

  2. Interpretation:
Response to listserv message sent out on January 4, 2002. This indicates that Michael is responding through personal or e-mail contact with Wes. That means that that section of the network is working effectively. This also permitted me to enter Michael's e-mail address where I should have had it, and where I can now find it easily.

Unfortunately, this doesn't give me any indication of whether or not Michael is up to date on following the moot court project. Notice that Maria Santiago told me what she had so far seen on the site.
