Hello, i am sorry to bother you but i came across your site tonite, and i really need your advice. i am a 16 year old sophmore and i am doing a mock trial in my government class where i am defending a college student who is accused of 1st degree murder and hazing. here is the Statement of Stipulated Facts
On November 22, 1997, 18 year old Milan Jackson died as a result of 26 foot fall from the clock tower located in the student center of Comlumbus University. Her death occured during a pledging activity sponsored by the Phi Gamma, the coed Fraternity Milan was pledgin into. Milan was a freshman at the time. (and so on)
On the las night of pledging known as hell night all the pledges of the gamma frat. were blindfolded while outside the gamma frat house. then they were to be led one at a time outside to perform one last task before being told who had crossed over and who had not. While milan was outside blindfolded the defendent whispered something in her ear. Shortly thereafter milan grabbed the Frat. flag and ran to the student center and upt to the clock tower. it was from that tower that she fell. A the time of her deaht milans blood alcohol level was .10. This is the general overview of the case. and i was wondering if you could send me infromation about how to set up a good case on the side of the defense, and information about other hazing cases where it was ruled on the defendents side. i am really sorry to bother you all but i really just need a little kick in the rite direction. thankyou lacy sewell
