I am often asked the question, "How do you ever find time for yourself with full-time school, full-time work, and single-parenting?" Now I have an additional term to add to my answer. I am sacrificing my discretionary time now, so that my "discretionary income" in a few years will allow me to do whatever the hell I please.I am pleased that you offer different strategies for assessing grades. I believe that everyone learns differently, and standardized tests (because the instructor usually looks for a standard answer) don't necessarily reflect what's learned. I can very well study and get 100%, but not be able to recall a thing two days later.
Sharing skills is right up my alley. I don't believe any skill is worth having if it is not useful to others. I am a strong believer in the "greater good."

Maisha, I'm glad you sent the second e-mail to identify the class. That helped. I didn't have to go searching through rosters for you. Great answer on discretionary time. But I want to point out that I think you missed one reading - the one that says why jeanne doesn't want you to just answer the questions. You told me who you were by your detailed grasp of discretionary time. I could hear you in that answer. After that, you just went on to cover my discussion questions. We don't need that extra coverage, which under other circumstances, I would call bull shiQ. You already got your A for the submission without the extra saying what you supposed I wanted to hear.
Nice to know you, Maisha, and nice to know that I'm not the only one who seems to have lost my discretionary time.
love and peace, jeanne
