See the spots! See the little red spots! Eek! Oy!
See the spots! See the little red spots! Eek! Oy!

Medical report: The comedy of errors continues. Now I'm covered with little red spots! The doctors will be in later this morning. Is this what they meant by "allergic to antibiotics"? Eek! Oy! The little red spots have convinced them that this was drug-induced. And I'm not contagious. They think I'll have recovered enough to come in next Wednesday for Criminology class! Sorry, kids, you get me back. Actually, I'm kinda cute with these little red cheeks! jeanne

Shared Readings in Spanish:

This is a new section I'm adding in response to our Spanish-speaking students who asked "What about us?" Marlene Veliz brought this to our attention last Fall, and we are trying to increase our sensitivity to the issue. jeanne

Test Preparations by Class:

There are sample discussion questions and self tests up, at least on Peace and Conflict Test Preps. It's clear this is going to take me a while, especially since I'm still tired. How about we agree to take the next couple of weeks to develop these files, and we won't have a mid-term till after that? jeanne, Sunday, March 11, 2001.

On Tuesday, February 20, 2001, Santos Espinoza wrote:

Jeanne, it gives me a great deal of pleasure knowing that I will not need to figure out what material will be on a test or what kind of essay questions will be asked. It gives me a sense of control, or as you mentioned in our second class meeting, AGENCY. I'm glad I will not need to take notes like a "mad-man" for tests that may not be an indicative measurement of what I've learned. I have the ability to be in control and apply my knowledge of the course as I perceive it and understand it. It feels good for once to be in control.

On Sunday, March 11, jeanne responded:

Santos, I'm glad the test preparations are beginning to achieve our goals for agency. I hope you and your classmates will watch these files go up and help me design them so they work best for you. love and peace, jeanne
