Glenn Fleishman told the story of his cancer on the Web. I found his site through a search on the New York Times Site for cancer and "Fleishman." The search produced an article from July 9, 1998, with references to several other articles, and hyperlinks to Web pages mentioned in the article, but did not give Fleishman's site. Somehow I found it, and the links are still working two years later!

Both Fleishman's and Schalchlin's stories of their illnesses were up about the same time. Theirs were the nuclei of our page on Staying in School While Challenged.
