Once there was a goblin, who loved balls. He gathered every ball he could, to save it for his very own. No one knew why. Even the goblin didn't know why. But he wanted all the balls in the world.
There were little children everywhere who found that balls were fun to play with. They could bounce; they could fly in a football pass; they could float in the water at the beach. The little children wanted balls to play with. But the goblin wanted all the balls in the world.
The little children cried to their parents: "Why can't WE have any balls?" The parents couldn't figure out what to do. The goblin had so much money he could buy all the balls in the world. And the little children cried.
Then something funny began to happen. With each new ball the goblin bought and added to his HUMUNGOUS pile of balls, he shrank just a little. He shrank and shrank and shrank, until one day, he just DISAPPEARED! The balls, free at last, flew from the goblin's pile and bounced into the lives of all the little children in the world. And balls and little children lived happily ever after.
