Sociology Graduation Honors 2000
A Departmental Award

The Sociology Department offers "Sociology Graduation Honors," recognized by a certificate and the wearing of the "Sociology Cord" at graduation for those students who have completed their Sociology Major or Minor with a GPA of 3.5 or better in Sociology courses and an overall average at CSUDH of 3.0.

Graduate Students may receive "Sociology Graduation Honors," upon the unsolicited recommendation of two of their sociology professors, with an average of 3.5 in their Graduate work.

And outstanding students, neither majors nor minors can be honored by a certificate and inclusion on our Departmental Honor Roll.

For the 2000 graduation those receiving "Sociology Graduation Honors" will wear maroon cord and tassel. Your cord (around $10), must be purchased before graduation. Jeanne.

To check on your qualifications and to give us your name for your certificate and order your cord, you must e-mail your request by the end of February 2000 to Jeanne Curran (x 3831).

Plan now for "Sociology Honors" in 2000!

If you would like a recommendation paragraph for you to appear on our grades and records file, and on your certificate, you will need to actively work at helping me prepare such a paragraph. See Grades and Records, Spring 1999. For clues, turn to Letters of Recommendation, and to Forms to Guide Us in Interactive Measures of Learning.

You will need to nag me to get the certificates done. jeanne
