nvitations and Flyer for Fall 2003 ExhibitHere's information for Katie Williams, for Yvonne Nettles, and for any of the rest of you who have ideas on the invitations and flyers. Remember, there are time constraints here. I know Katie is planning to do some work over the weekend. I think Prof. Dorsey's suggestions on enclosing a card they can send back to us is a great idea. And I liked her ideas for ensuring that the envelope be opened. Katie, don't forget that we might want to somehow decorate the envelope, but we'll have to worry about what that might cost, so keep it simple. Kendra, the president of the political science club, may have a contact who could do it cheaply. Ask Michael Griffen to ask her.Meanwhile, if you have suggestions, get them to us.
love, peace, and a wonderful gala, jeanne
On Thursday, Professor Dorsey sent us this:
Subject: RE: Alumni Study
Date: Thu, 6 Nov 2003 15:37:32Jeanne, here are my thoughts.
Consider underlining "Even if you can’t join us ……… keep you in touch with our exciting events.”
Consider enclosing the invitation in an envelope so that we can enclose a RSVP card that says:
_____ Yes, I will be there! Here's my email, day phone and evening phone so I can join in the fun more often.
_____ Sorry, I can be there this time. But, here's my email, day phone and evening phone so I can hear about the great things you are doing.
Name_______________________________ email___________________________
Day phone#_________________________ evening phone#__________________

Consider stamping the outside envelope “You’ll love what we are doing! Take a peak.” Or “This is worth a peak!” or, ………
Consider adding the line “or send back the enclosed card in the postage paid envelope enclosed” after line 4.
The flyer is wonderful. It doesn’t need any more design. Thanks for sending it to me. Best regards, Dia
