Call for Published Papers:

Although jeanne hates term papers, she would be delighted if you'd like to work on a paper for publication or professional presentation. Robert Binford is going to work on his The Dialectical Process of the Individual, Society, and the Resultant Criminal Identity.

Essay Exams and Comments:

Please don't do this to yourselves: An e-mail this week said:

"I haven't been able to attend class as I should this semester because it has been stressful and hectic. I would like to know how am I doing in this class and how I can improve my grade."

Doesn't that sound terrible? You haven't been to class? But you want to know how to improve your grade? COME TO CLASS!

This is why we have defense attorneys, to protect people from themselves!

Although the e-mail didn't mention comparing journals, it did say that the student had a journal and named some of the things the student had read. I sputtered and fussed and resolved to write this note to you. But then, out of force of habit, I checked the student's e-mail. I had 11 e-mails, starting on February 7! The student isn't a field mouse, and has been working right along, but the e-mail sounded like the student had never been there.

Please don't be so hard on yourselves, and ask the right question:
Could we go over our journals together, so I could see how I'm doing?

    love and peace, jeanne
