Last Sunday I fell in love with a book called Puerto Rico, The New Life. Manuel Hernandez Acevedo's painting, Calle de San Juan, is on the cover. The book cost $5.00 in 1966. We won't even think about what it cost at the Antiquarian Book Show last Sunday. The first sentence of the Foreword says: "the plastic arts constitute one of the most significant and valuable expressions of the culture of a people."

Book reviews are a resource you should not overlook. You can often find them through a search for the book title on the Internet. These reviews offer new insights on the use of psychoanalytic approaches for understanding interpersonal relationships, and I have translated this to an understanding of teacher-student relationships and their importance to the learning process in higher education.
