Syllabi for Fall 2001
I've included study ahead materials for all the courses.
Check out last week, too. Have fun! jeanne
You Gotta Read This:
Leonardo Boff - Brazil Third World Traveler. This brief description will give you some idea about Boff, and why I am ordering his Cry of the Earth, Cry of the Poor for Transforming Discourse in Fall 2001. English Translation, 1997. Boff speaks of paradigm shifts in much the way that Gordon Fellman does, and he gives in this text a sensible approach to bringing the sociology of religion into our discussions. Our discussions on religion in theory class last Spring made it clear that we need this piece in understanding social justice.
