Jeanne and Susan,

Thank you for all of the various perspectives of this past week you've placed on the Dear Habermas site. Not only has this helped me AND my children, but there are numerous others yet to email you, that have read your material forwarded to them, and replied graciously, later, to return to this site themselves.

Nightmare Remedies: Helping Your Child Tame the Demons of the Night by Alan Siegel, Ph.D. was especially helpful to me and my family. Children at military bases on alert and current status at CHARLIE, and DELTA for a couple of days are witnessing aspects special to the military and their dependents lifestyle at this moment. Since September 11th, they have witnessed while innocently playing outside, numerous security personal in the area (at DELTA, these security also had their rifle barrel hanging out the window). And not only where their parents work, but also their military housing area has been barricaded by cement highway dividers, inspections, 100% ID checks, and numerous planes and helicopters flying over. If the media and their current living conditions weren't enough to cause the children nightmares, the fear they have knowing that sometimes BOTH parents are on platforms for possible overseas and ship deployment, is. Thank you for offering resources for people on military bases that have children, that have also read this.

100 Questions and Answers about Arab Americans has been shared and appreciated very much. We know people in Dearborn, MI, the largest population of Arab-Americans. Many friends that have graciously asked me to thank you for making this information available, as they are experiencing a lot of tension because they're Arab-Americans. Not being of Arabic descent, many of my family members not from the Dearborn/East Dearborn area, have also replied thankfully for this article and the concentrated resource of information on the Dear Habermas site.

Jeanne and Susan, there are many reading your site right now. And though they may not personally be emailing you to let you know how much it is appreciated, please know that your work has extended well-beyond the "classroom".
