Link on the title to go to the Artnet Site to see the painting.The BBC story on Brad Kahlhamer confirmed my suspicions of the Basquiat influence. So many of you enjoy Basquiat's art, I'm sure we'll have lots to share on Kahlhamer's work.
"Kahlhamer is an admirer of the late Jean-Michel Basquiat ( New York Times Review), and there are parallels between Basquiat's visual cacophony of urban graffiti fused with Afro-Caribbean 'primitive' art and Kahlhamer's eclectic dreamscapes inhabited by city-dwellers and Native American spirits."
