jeanne: i had the good fortune, when I was 18, of lying on the floor of the Sistine Chapel with a very good friend and just studying this place where the creation is painted and absorbing the vibes. It was awesome then and reassuring (about life??) just reassuring.....it is so beautiful and creates such an image of love and peace. I thank you for taking me back there.....I can always be reassured......

Lisa, I didn't get to lie on the floor. I was with my mother-in-law the first time, and at a later time I wouldn't have been able to get back up off the floor. But I did sit back on one of the benches along the side of the chapel and stare in wonder.

The protection and continued existence of the Sistine Chapel porvides its own kind of connectedness to generations past.

love and peace, jeanne
