Product of an indomitable brush El Hombre en Llamas (Man in Flame 1938-39) shows itself as one of the top works of Mexican Art of all times. José Clemente Orozco was that kind of artist that never gave any aesthetic or ideological concession to the spectator.
His work is a deep wound that makes the spectator submerse in pain and human condition, just remember Cristo Demoliendo su Cruz (Jesus Christ destroying His Cross).
It is an honor for Arts and History, to present El Hombre en Llamas, as an homage to the celebrated painter born in Jalisco, Mexico, and on the occasion of this electronic publication's first anniversary, that reaches the first year of existence with more than 10,000 daily transmissions to sixty five countries around the World.
