Yes, it's true. We never told him. He doesn't like electronic communication. Old school elite, you know. I never had the courage in the old days. And then we're just ordinary folks, doing discourse. I guess I figured that people like Habermas don't talk to people like me. Hell, my Chair doesn't have time to look at the site. And Spivak says post-colonialism isn't a good analogy for those of us who have "just" been excluded! I wonder if she knows what exclusion feels like. I keep hoping I'll get the site "perfect" and then we can tell him. I don't know why Susan never did. I think my timidity rubbed off on her. And, then, remember, we're "just" college teachers.

Maybe the real truth is that as long as he doesn't know my imaginary is free to believe that he would like it. See what happens when we teach you well? You break down our protective denials. And David Horowitz dares to suggest that there are no present barriers to African-Americans. I was poor, and look at the mark it left on me. Now, just promise us that in your turn you'll shout out, Look what I've done!
