We can read the statistics on the number of Israeli settlers and the number of terrorists and much more. But the statistics are open to perspective, and we need the stories to make them come to life. Today, on ZNET a commentry came out, by Robert Fisk, on the columns of an Israeli journalist (Amira Hass) for Ha'aretz, "a liberal, free-thinking paper, the nearest Israel has to The Independent."
