Adventure Game Theatre: Essay on Play as Healing in an Adult World

This essay is based on the Adventure Game Theatre Site. The site documents the work of a non-profit group in using theatre, art and spontaneous play as a means of building interpersonal communication skills and support. The site includes a lovely reproduction of Sara Lucia's Journal of her experiences with AGTLink to Campers' Stories, and then to Sara Lucia's AGT Journal.

AGT is based on face-to-face interaction. I want to draw parallels with what we have been doing on Dear Habermas. Instructions on site. Interactive media. Book-making, painting, etc. at will, in the classroom, publication on site.

Then I want to compare it to George Herbert Mead's work on play: George Herbert Mead's The Relation of Play to Education Link added April 19, 2002.
