Take this mess from my plate,
Give me something digestible.
The world is full of chaos, and
I can't sleep at night.What ever happened
To fistfighting out the fustrations of today,
. . . and playing jump rope together tomorrow?
The night sky carries the burdens of many,
. . . who look towards the eastern star for direction.Take this slop from my plate now,
I need to see clear.
My eyes ache
. . . the crime, the homicides, not to mention
. . . the suicides, and all these cases of rape
I don't see anything appetizing and,
I'm not hungry anymore.
Martha had been looking for this poem all semester. Then, when she found it, jeanne was preoccupied elsewhere with records. We are pleased to offer this forum, even when we can't quite keep up with the demand.
