Subject: I need some help really quick...

Hey Jeanne.

It's me Ricky from class. I need some help, but this is for something outside of our classes, but I'm sure you'll be able to direct me on the right path.

My mom has decided to go back to school (which makes me a student with her) and she has me doing a lot of her work because she needs help. She has to write a paper about the democratic and republican views on capital punishment, welfare, and health reform. My question to you is, is there any website that I can go to that will give me basic views and standpoints of the 2 sides? She just needs to know how the particular sides favor each issue, and I don't know where to start looking.

If you can, will you please help me out with this? Thanking you in advance for your time (because I know you don't have much of it )

Of course, I'll help, Ricky. But let's get our heads in the right place. If your mom's going to school now, neither you nor she will always have the help. So the deal is that I'll take the time to help, if you'll promise to teach your mom how to do this for herself.

The quickest way to find the Democratic and Republican views on a given issue would be to go to the Left/Right Perspectives link on the main page of the site.

Another quick way is to do a search on "death penalty" on a search engine like Yahoo

A little browsing will locate: American Society of Criminology statement on the death penalty.
