Soc367Drawing in class has made me express myself more as a human being by excelling in art. With the Web site on the computer about the childrens' drawing I got to another level teaching the children. Now I work with how to explore by drawing. I work on an Air Force Base in San Pedro with the youth/ teens. Materials I learn in class I always take to my job and show them to my co-workers and students. By you showing some of your art and the students' art I learned to purchase some art materials so my students can draw some of their ideas. Whenever I bring the art materials I don't have a problem with participation.

Dameion, I want you to know that I was thrilled that the above e-mail came from an auto garage, at least according to the e-mail address. Thank them, please, for making a computer accessible to you. It is this kind of sharing that will educate our whole community.I hope that you know that you have joined the ranks of 80% of our teachers whom the NEA has recognized as shelling out their own money to provide supplies for their students. Welcome to an honored group. Your example reminds us that "each one teach one" works.
Conceptual linking: Art serves as a means of expressing what we have difficulty saying in language. Expressing our feelings relieves some of the repressed feeling, helping us to dissipate anger and frustration without resorting to violence. As each of us shares this understanding with the community in which we live, stress is reduced, and interpersonal relationships are easier and more satisfying.
love and peace, jeanne
