• February 12, 1999

  • Added piece on opportunities to counsel juveniles to Social Work Links, and added to index. under juveniles, counseling.

  • Added evaluating web sites to all class pages and index. Still needs to go on internet support, but out of time. Based on new article in Teaching Sociology.

  • Added third exercise and lecture notes for Stat.

  • No more updates until Feb. 16. Jeanne is at conference.

• February 8, 1999

  • Put links to habermas.htm in index and on crimjacc.htm, jjacc.htm, and soca359.htm

  • Added new file, tidbits99.htm on Why DH Considers Habermas Post-Modern. Linked this along with habermas.htm in index and on three class pages. Called tidbits because they're my notes after lectures. Easier for me to write it up than for students to try to take notes on all that.

  • Added some sample e-mails and feedback to statistics and to juv justice pages. Need to add them to feedback.

  • Moved some stuff, like that on evaluating web sites from statindx.htm to the index.

  • Added California's Millenium painting to museums.htm, under History. Was going to e-mail governor to please put up other 20 paintings, but his e-mail is under construction. Now, why didn't we think of that???

  • Added tidbits to holding patterns because those should eventually be whole files, and I don't won't to hold them until all my notes are finished, so you get them in tidbits.

  • Put all these up on all the sites. Thank yous are welcome. jc

• February 6 and 7, 1999
  • New netmind with key word notice possibilitites downloaded and included on navigation table, but there's a glitch in my getting the keywords for them. Give me a couple of days on that.

  • Uploaded Wisconsin Main Site. It's working. Please report any links with which we have problems.

  • habermas.org is up and running. All icons reflect the current state of the sites.

  • uwp news is up. Be sure to look for it. And Soc a 359 is there under Classes at CSUDH AND UWP.

  • News was removed, and made into a link on the What's New file. The Navigation table was redone.

• February 4, 1999

  • Redid navigation table on homepage. Moved some things around. Added Soclink, though it's down right now.

  • Added lecture notes and exercise 2 for statistics. Added informed respondent to index. Link to stat from classes: Intro to Stat.

  • Added the begining of a process text to goodfth.htm on assessing student learning in the narrative courses which use the dh site. Link to the text from Discourse: Voice

  • Fixed the link on jjacc.htm for lecture notes, ex. 1.

  • Set up file, solhndbklhtm to give instructions on how to get to the sociology of Law handbook by Curran and Takata. This is temporary - but it works. Link to the new file on Law Links in the navigation bar. Also go to the site index for Sociology of Law Handbook.

  • Moved Cranks, Quarks and Cosmos to science. htm - linked in index. It's actually somewhere on alfiek.htm , though I can't think why.

  • Moved California Educators teaching in native language to natpeopl.htm, and in index under both native peoples and indigenous peoples.

  • Added photography, teaching to kids to index - links to museums, photo Also added photography, as method to index - that links to methods.htm, I hope - too many files open to check

  • Added link to help with term papers under homework and under Educational Index. The link leads to writing.htm, which is linked through Academic support: writing.

  • Moved link for projects into navigation table under academic support. It goes to joinproj.htm, but it links to projects.htm, which has all the projects, at least all that I had sites for.

  • Moved postcards to postcard.htm, and put a link under Net Support. Will add to the list as students send in their favorites.
