SOCA 301
Time: MWF 11:00 - 11:50 a.m.
Room: 324 MOLN
Instructor: Takata
- Objectives: SOCA 301 is an introduction to major sociological theories. The objective of this course is not to survey sociological theory in its entirety, but rather, to select a number of substantive issues in theory for intensive critical examination. Another objective of this course is to provide the skills of analyses, evaluation and synthesis in applying sociological theory to the world of work and careers. In other words, the application of sociological theories and concepts to career concerns will provide an understanding of the value of a solid theoretical foundation as well as provide the facility to move back and forth from theory to application.
