"What Will Result from a War Against Iraq" on Saturday, November 16
from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m in McDowell Hall of St. John's College in
Annapolis.

The teach-in will feature the following speakers:

Emad Al Bana, M.D. Dr. Bana is a surgeon in Southern Maryland and a
native of Iraq. He will talk about the impact which a U.S. invasion

future of the country itself, and the nature of the Iraqi opposition
to the current regime.

Jen Carr. Ms. Carr is Organizer for the Justice Not War Campaign in
Peace Action's national office. She will speak about alternatives to
a war against Iraq and identify actions that people can take now to
prevent a conflict.

Colman McCarthy. Mr. McCarthy is Director of the Center for Teaching
Peace in Washington, D.C. He will address ethical and theological
dimensions of a war against Iraq.

Jean Francois Seznec. Dr. Seznec is Managing Director of Lafayette
Group and a faculty member at Georgetown University. He will discuss
the implications of war for the politics and economics of the Middle
East.

Chuck Woolery. Mr. Woolery is Grassroots Director for the World
Federalist Association. He will focus on the international legal
implications of a war.

After all presentations, there will be a question-and-answer period
to be followed by two consecutive sets of breakout sessions in
teach-in participants will have an opportunity to have a dialogue
with individual speakers.

The teach-in is free. Directions to St. John's College and the

Something opens our wings. Something makes boredom and hurt disappear.
Someone fills the cup in front of us. We taste only sacredness.
