This was a delightful coup on the part of the University of California at Irvine. They managed to interest L.A. Times staff writers in the research project of one of their graduate students. Darby, you could do that with ethnomusicology and our site. Tyron, why couldn't you and Charles do that with your work with parole? Marlene, why couldn't you do that with Dolly and Wini and Berthena, and so many other of our senior students?

I know writing is fun. I'm glad you're all enjoying it. But public relations is important, too. How many people will read your thesis? Wouldn't it be a good idea to get your work out into the community, so the effort could grow?
