Admission Officers:

Donella Duck is an excellent student. She is polite, motivated, persistent, and gracious. She doesn't wait for direction, if none is forthcoming. She is creative enough to undertake the task on her own, if the situation demands.

I was rushed this Fall, having just returned from Africa. I wanted the students to help set up an Internet forum with people I had contacted in Africa. Donella was interested in the project. But I had little time to cope. She took my journal, with addresses and notes, deciphered them, and proceeded to contact people in Zambia for me. I learned to trust her judgment completely. I think that suggests the kind of leadership that Donella will provide to whatever she undertakes. I heartily recommend her to your program.

Donella took so readily to building networks that she began writing to distant networks and expressing her feelings about issues we were discussing. One of those issues was the need for help in poor rural areas, and our need to learn to understand the "Other" of these regions so different from our own. After meeting Father Peter (of Zambia), Donella undertook correspondence to start up our network in Zambia, and has followed it through. She has made the contacts, collected the correspondence, and will be presenting our efforts in this direction in Moot Court 2002.

Sincerely,
