This essay is designed to answer some fundamental questions about Weber. One good way to meet him is to visit perhaps the most popular Weber site on the Web, Frank Elwell's Verstehen: Max Weber's HomePage. But before we settle down for a pleasant chat, there is some important business we have to take care of.
In your academic studies, ethics require that you cite your scholarly sources. The Web is new to most of us, and citation of works we use on the Web is still a little confusing. Frank Elwell was kind enough to place a referencing link in the leftmost frame of his site that will lead you to the proper citation for his site as a resource:
Elwell, Frank, 1996, Verstehen: Max Weber's HomePage, Retrieved June 1, 1999 (use actual date), http://msumusik.mursuky.edu/~felwell/http/weber/whome.htm.You'll have to scroll about two-thirds of the way down the leftmost frame to find the referencing link To use Frank Elwell's site without such acknowledgment is considered plagiarism.
