"Some allege that it is outlawed by the Geneva Convention as a chemical weapon. Therefore our using it puts us in the same category as Saddam Hussein — or so claims the hugely popular far-left blogsite Daily Kos. But according to the more authoritative GlobalSecurity.org, "White phosphorus is not banned by any treaty to which the United States is a signatory."
from "White (Phosphorous) Lies" by Michael Fumento on National Review Online.
Note that as you scan blogs or politcal or ideological statements you can often find which side is which by reading carefully. Daily Kos is identified as far-left. GlobalSecurity.org is identified here as more authoritative, meaning far-right, I would presume. Look for other such identifiers until you find a news source whose values you share so that you can trust that what they tell you probably fits with what you would want to know. Another hot clue: National Review is a right-perspective publication.
