Through the Internet we find each other. I am very pleased to introduce my students to Jeanne Wolf. Curious, I went to the Internet after reading Jeanne Wolf's e-mail (below), and lo and behold, look what I found: Saskia - Buffalo Woman by Jeanne Wolf, replete with Jeanne Wolf's paintings! Jeanne Wolf's painting and story of Saskia - Buffalo Woman

Subject: me or the other wolf

When I read your title I was curious because there is another JEANNE WOLF who does wonderful things in HOLLYWOOD and meets and interviews all the hunks and writes about the MOVIES. I am JEANNE WOLF and I write for children and paint pictures etc. Both of us (we) JEANNE WOLF'S come from Miami and probably know a few people in common. (not common people by any means) I truly love your picture of the WOLF..... it has electricity!! I am glad I stumbled upon your site while selfishly seeking JEANNE WOLF on GOOGLE.COM Best wishes to you., Jeanne Wolf (another Wolf)

Hello, Jeanne Wolf.

How nice to meet you. And how wonderful that you write for children and paint pictures. Perhaps you'd like to share some of your work with us.

I just retired, so that I would have the time to paint, and sculpt, and turn the site into all that I want it to be: a learning space for everyone who has a genuine curiosity about what's happening in our world and how to foster love and peace. My students at the university (I still teach in the Fall each year.) have families, jobs, classes. Who can juggle it all? We have a KIDS site, so we can share with siblings, friends, children, and grandchildren.

I'm glad you liked my wolf. I must confess that he was painted on one of my less peaceful days. (Peace comes hard to me.) I was sitting in my office at the university, furious with a colleague who was being arrogant and structurally violent to one of my students. Following my own advice, I decided to paint my frustration. Voila! Le Wolf! That's probably why he has such electricity! And it worked! I put him up on the site, and I felt much better.

I've been bringing oil pastels to class, painting with my students, right in the middle of our academic discussions. How could we ever have let art slip from our curriculum?

I have an article deadline today, and I must go edit that piece. But I'd love to share your writing and your art. Please stay in touch.

By the way, I met another Jeanne Wolf this way some time ago. Hope I can still find her e-mail address. I'm not sure if she was the other Jeanne Wolf from Miami, but I'm in Hollywood. Now, isn't that a coincidence?

love and peace, jeanne
