Women and the Criminal Justice System

"Fair use" encouraged.
Women are particularly oppressed when they fall into the justice system, for the system was designed and implemented primarily to control wayward males. We will look at the history of women and crime and the history of girls and crime. And we will also look at the ways in which the system commits crimes against women and girls, all the while blaming the victims.I'll get more on this up as soon as I can. Meanwhile consult Women in Crime from an older course I gave. I haven't taught the course for a while, so it will have to be updated after our current courses. Sorry, jeanne
