Parking Enforcement
and
Vehicle Impounds
Parking regulations and University Housing (Resident) permits are enforced 24 hours a day, year-round by Parking Control Officers and State University Police Officers.
Parking Permits are enforced on the balance of the campus from:
Monday 7am thru Saturday 6pm (24 hours)
Parking permits are enforced in University Housing:
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
2 parking permits are required at all times
- "R" resident permit
- CSUDH Parking Permit (semester, annual or daily)
Staff/Faculty Parking Stalls are enforced from:
7am to 6pm Monday - Friday
Faculty/Staff Annual or Semester Permit is required for these designated parking stalls.
Parking citations are issued under Section 21113a of the California Vehicle Code (CVC) and carry the full effect and obligations as those issued by any other law enforcement agency in the State of California. Failure to resolve a parking citation will result in a DMV hold on the vehicle. Five or more unpaid parking citations will result in the vehicle being impounded (22651(i) CVC).
Any vehicle parked illegally on any state property is subject to "tow-away" pursuant to Section 22659a CVC.
Any vehicle impounded will be released to the registered owner after proof of correction is presented (22850.3 CVC/22851.1 CVC).
