CSET Multiple Subjects Exam
(California Subjects Exam for Teachers)
Get the edge in preparing for the computer-based CSET!  The CSET preparation workshop will cover a five-point learning advantage developed by the authors of CliffsTest Prep CSET®. (1) expert instruction—benefit from in-class instruction with credentialed teachers and specialists in the field of test preparation; (2) assessment—learn to identify your strengths and target your weaknesses; (3) review—receive instruction about the domain areas, question types, test-taking strategies, and scoring; (4) class materials—receive a comprehensive textbook with three full-length practice tests; and (5) free-repeat policy—repeat the prep class as often as necessary for extra subject-area review.

Strategies and techniques for answering the multiple-choice and constructed-response questions will be discussed and selected areas will be reviewed. This workshop is designed to help students apply their knowledge to meet exam requirements in each of the exam subtests, but is not a substitute for formal academic course work. CSET test areas include:  Subtest I – History/Social Science and Reading, Language & Literature; Subtest II – Science and Math; Subtest III – Visual and Performing Arts, Physical Education and Human Development. GMAT- CAT Prep
(Graduate Management Admission Test)

GRE Review
(Graduate Record Exam – General Test.)

Classes provide you with over 20-hours of instruction including important in-class practice, take-home online computer practice testing and a free-repeat policy. The Program
The Program
The BTPS system originated at California State University, Northridge, by request of the student body in 1973. Since then, it has assisted more than 500,000 students in preparing for college and graduate entrance
examinations. These programs are now offered at 30 universities, colleges and law schools. The programs are constantly updated for the most recent forms of the
exams. Fees paid for these test preparation courses do not include payment and registration for the actual exam. For information on registration for the exams, call the CSUDH Testing Office at (310) 243- 3909.

Location
All classes are offered on the CSUDH campus located at 1000 East Victoria Street in Carson. Test preparation classes are convenient for people living and working in or near Los Angeles, Torrance, Long Beach, Carson, Compton, El Segundo, Palos Verdes, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, San Pedro, Hawthorne, Gardena, Lakewood, Paramount, Bellflower, Downey, Inglewood and other parts of the South Bay and Southern California.

Program Instructors
The staff is comprised of math and reading specialists and other expert instructors who are fully credentialed and have advanced degrees.
