Produce, Write, Direct, and
Distribute Feature Films

This is the filmmaking course that launched the careers
of Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan (Momento), and Guy Ritchie (Snatch). In
one weekend you learn how to take an idea, obtain the script,
create a budget, finance the project, direct the shoot, edit
the film, attend festivals, secure an agent, and then market,
sell, and distribute around the world.
Saturday (Filmmaking) focuses step-by-step on the actual
process of shooting the film, from scheduling
to lighting
to cinematography. Sunday (Film
Business) is dedicated to
the business of financing,
distributing, and selling that
movie globally. The
course applies to feature films with budgetsranging
from as low as $5,000 to as high as $5 million.

Dov S-S Simens, founder of the Hollywood Film Institute, has been producing films for the past decade, and has taught in the film schools at USC, UCLA, and NYU in addition to his independent film workshops.
