The Art of Designing Computer Video Games

The Program
If you ever wanted to become a computer video game designer and feel you have that creative spark for making a game challenging and fun to play, then this 2-day intensive workshop may be exactly what you're looking for.

What You Will Learn
From the history of game design to character design to creating basic motion and animated effects, this course is an information-packed, fun-filled learning experience for aspiring computer game designers everywhere.

Activities include:
Game history
What makes a game successful
Original character design
Design theory
Creating animated effects with Macromedia Flash
Vector based graphics
Backgrounds/Scenery

Employment Outlook
Videogame Design is a growing field. A great deal of videogame development takes place in Los Angeles, the home of the entertainment industry.

Who Should Attend:

Individuals interested in pursuing employment in the videogame industry
Students interested in pursing a career in videogame design or computer graphics.
Beginning design students
Non-designers who want to pursue employment with a videogame company

Eligibility Requirements
These courses are open to all students interested in learning more about video game design.

Certificate Requirements
A certificate of completion will be awarded upon successful completion of the course.
