Course Description
Increase your understanding of risk management and how to organize a risk management program. Learn how to develop safety practices and procedures that will help reduce losses involving people, environment and production in your company. Explore topics that include risk identification and analysis; risk control techniques; and selecting, implementing and monitoring risk. Gain practical, real-world knowledge of the risk management decision process that you can apply immediately on the job in a wide variety of situations.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this course, participants will be able to accomplish the following:
1. Describe risk management
2. Utilize the five steps of the risk management process
3. Identify risks and identification methods
4. Explain risk control techniques pre-loss and post-loss
5. Utilize risk analysis techniques

Methodology
The primary methods of instruction are through lectures presented by the instructor and discussion sessions during which students can pose questions. Reading assignments are also an important part of the learning process. A class project enhances the understanding of the risk management decision process as a tool that helps determine how risk management is handled within their organization.
