At this time, it appears that you may be eligible for Spring 2008 financial aid. To confirm your continued eligibility, a review of your Fall 2007 academic performance must be completed. You will be notified by mail should it be determined that you do not meet the standards of our Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.

The Financial Aid Office will review your CSUDH grade point average, the number of units you completed for the fall semester and the overall number of units completed.

As long as you meet the requirements of our Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy, you can expect your Spring 2008 balance check to be mailed to your home address during the first week of classes (January 28 – February 1).

The check will be the balance due after payment of any outstanding University obligations (e.g., registration fees, library fines, housing charges, winter session fees, etc.) have been deducted.

You must:
• Be enrolled in the proper number of units.
• Not have any university holds.
• Not be conditionally admitted.

If you do not meet all of the conditions listed above, you will not receive a check during the first week of classes. Once all conditions have been met, the Accounting Office will continue to mail financial aid checks each week during the semester. If you receive a check and then decide to withdraw from the University or drop units, you will be required to repay all or part of the financial aid received. DO NOT CASH YOUR CHECK! Return the uncashed check to the Financial Aid Office immediately.

Reminder: If you received a Winter 2008 Deferment Form to pay your registration fees, this amount will be deducted from your Spring 2008 financial aid disbursement

If you are planning to attend the Summer Session 2008 and would like to be considered for summer aid, our Summer 2008 Request Form will be available to print from our website mid-March at http://www.csudh.edu/fin_aid You will be required to submit this form in-personto the Financial Aid Office (WH B-260).PLEASE NOTE: Summer aid is limited to any remaining eligibility from the 2007-2008 school year. Funding is limited to State University Grant, Federal Pell Grant and Federal Direct Loans.

 

Fall 2008 & Spring 2009 Deadlines

Beginning January 1, 2008, students should complete their 2008-2009 FreeApplication For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Renewal Application. The priority-filing deadline is March 2, 2008.Complete and electronically sign your FAFSA at:

http://www.fafsa.ed.gov
