Summer 2008 Financial Aid

Types of Available Summer Aid

Federal Pell Grant, Federal Direct Loans (subsidized and unsubsidized) and State University Grant (SUG).
Although summer aid will be available, individual aid eligibility depends on several factors:
>
Summer 2008 is the last term of our 2007/08 academic year.
>
The number of summer units will impact your aid eligibility.
>
The actual cost of attendance (fees, books, etc.) will be used to determine eligibility.
>
The Federal Pell Grant Program and Federal Direct Loan Programs have annual limits on the amount a student can receive during an academic year. The State University Grant program has limited awards for the summer and will be awarded on a first come first serve basis until funds are exhausted. A full-time student may have exhausted program eligibility during the fall and spring semesters.
>
Failure to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements for financial aid recipients will impact summer eligibility.

Awarding of Summer 2008 Aid

>

>
All offers of summer financial aid are contingent on students completing courses for the current semester. We will review grades at the end of the semester and if you did not meet the requirements of our Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy, you will be required to pay your summer registration fees.

Payment of Summer 2008 Registration Fees

Students who have been awarded summer aid sufficient to cover their registration fees will not be required to pay anything to prevent their registration from being washed out.
If you were placed on financial aid probation for the Spring 2008 semester, you will be required to pay your summer registration fees. Your Summer aid eligibility will be determined after a review of your Spring 2008 grades.
