Prerequisites:
Learners must already be able to... (besides basic computer knowledge)
1. Use a search engine to locate information.
2. Download graphics using Netscape.
3. Start an HTML document (from scratch).
4. Use an existing image map.
5. Demonstrate appropriate use of the following HTML tags categories:
required tags, images, lists, background graphics, colors, text sizes,
links (graphics/text), lines, map
6. Use Communicator/Composer to create/edit pages.
7. Use tables in a web page.
8. Recognize a FRAMESET page.
Objectives:
After completing this lesson, the learner will be able to...
1. List at least five characteristics of good web design.
2. Locate free web design templates.
3. Locate rubrics for evaluation of educational web pages.
4. Describe three simple techniques to make web pages accessible.
5. Demonstrate the use of special characters in HTML.
