General Characteristics of Agricultural, Industrial, and Information Age Labor Union Membership

Information/Data on Japanese Labor Union Membership

Japan has labor unions, however the labor unions in Japan do not have such a worker against the business attitude. This is due, in part to effort on the part of buissness managers to make the worker feel as though he is a "part" of the business. Getting along is a way of life for Japanese employees and employers, therefore labor unions do not take on the same role as they do in the U.S.

Conclusions on Japan (Whether Primarily Agricultural, Industrial, or Information Age Re: Labor Union Membership)

Japan is primarily Information Age oriented as far as Labor Union Membership is concerned. Labor Unions are not important in Japan basically because most Japanese workers are satisfied with their job.
