General Characteristics of Agricultural, Industrial, and Information Age Technologies

Agricultural Age Technology:
The Japanese are the most productive farmers in the world. Only 14% of Japan's land is suitable for agriculture. The Japanese farmer has always been creative in using the land, they terrace fields and use advanced irrigation methods to ensure crop survivial.

Industrial Age Technology:
Japan also succeeded in this age, first they were textile manufacturers and then they began developing heavy industries, such as steel manufacturing and shipbuilding

Information Age Technology:
This is the age where Japan began to separate themselves from the rest of the world. The Japanese improved on and created created completely new industries. For example the VCR, televisions, walkmen, fax machines,etc...

The future for Japan is bright they are creating even more innovative inventions such as high definition television, robotics, and more advanced super computers.
