Information/Data on North Korea Demographic Age Distribution In 1992 monograph, The Populaton of North Korea, according to the United Nations Fund for Population Activities(UNFPA). They put the total population at 21.4million person in mid-1990, consisting of 10.6 million males and 10.8 million females. In North Korea most people is concentrated in the plains and lowlands. The least populated regions are the mountainous Chagang and Yanggang provinces adjacent to the Chinese border.
