Kimberley Radmacher, Assistant Professor, received her M.A. from California State University, Northridge in General-Experimental Psychology and her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, specializing in the social and emotional development of adolescents and young adults. Her research interests focus on two areas (1) personal and social identity development and (2) the development of close friendships and intimacy. Her current research examines how adolescents’ and young adults’ multiple social identities (e.g., gender, ethnicity, and social class) intersect and inform their thoughts and ideas about themselves and the role that their friendships and peer interactions play in this identity formation.
