Re-Accreditation Time Is Near!

On November 3-5, 2008 the School of Nursing will host the Evaluation Team from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) on our campus. The Team’s goal is to assess compliance with CCNE Standards for the re-accreditation of the BSN and MSN programs. The CCNE Standards are available at www.aacn.nche.edu/accreditation .

An important part of the evaluation process is to solicit comments from our constituents (that is YOU – applicants, students, faculty, staff, community partners, and the general public), concerning the qualifications of our programs for accreditation. This is your opportunity to participate in the evaluation process by giving the CCNE Team feedback, as we continually strive to grow and improve our nursing programs.

CCNE will share your comments related to the programs’ meeting the accreditation standards with the Evaluation Team prior to their on-site visit. However, at no time will your comments be shared with members of the School of Nursing during the review process.

Only comments that are written, signed and submitted by October 2, 2008 will be considered by CCNE. If you wish to share your ideas, suggestions and concerns – and I sincerely hope you will – please submit them in writing directly to:
