Background/Teaching

Ms. McClane is a Pathway alumnus of the CSUDH nursing program, as well as an MBA. Currently she is completing her dissertation at the University of San Diego for her Doctorate of Nursing Sciences. Ms. McClane has been a nurse for over twenty-years with clinical specialties in both Critical Care and Emergency Medicine. Her current academic interests include gerontology, nursing education and case management. Ms. McClane has held a variety of teaching positions to provide and prepare her for both her Ph.D. and future teaching practices. She has held faculty appointments in both public and private associate nursing degree programs, NCLEX preparation programs, and continuing educational programs. Currently is both instructing and developing curriculum for the Division of Nursing at CDUDH in both the baccalaureate and masters nursing programs.

 

Research Interests

Her current research interests include identifying health-related quality of life factors in community dwelling residents, and instrument development to assess the elderly in a community setting. She is also collaborating with Dr. Wegmann on a Case Management text for nursing education.
