2010 Honors Conference

Submission Guidelines

Abstract Submission:

Interested students should submit a proposal of their original research, scholarly or creative work. The proposal should not exceed 300 words. All abstracts will be published in a compendium of conference proceedings.

Who may apply:

Undergraduate students currently enrolled in CSU Honors program. Presentations from all disciplines including the creative arts are invited.

Presentation Format:

The selected students will have the option to present their work in either oral presentations or a poster/presentation/display at the Expo. Only students giving oral presentations will be considered for selection at the annual CSU Statewide Student Research Competition.

Oral Presentation Instructions:

Students will be given 15 minutes to present their work, followed by five minutes for questions from the audience and judges. A PC computer projector and overhead projector will be made available.

Proposal submission: February 7, 2010

Submission Instructions:

Prepare your abstract in a text editor, e.g. MS Word before you visit the abstract submission page and then cut and paste from this editor into the web form. If your abstract must contain special symbols or equations, please contact Adriana Godoy at agodoy@csudh.edu with a description of your needs.

Check your abstract for spelling, grammar and length. No more than 300 words is allowed. Have your faculty mentor/advisor proofread the abstract.

Notify your faculty mentor/advisor that you are ready to submit the abstract online. You will need a valid email address for yourself and your faculty mentor/advisor when you submit the abstract.

When you have completely filled out the abstract submission form, you can preview the abstract as it will appear in the program.
